Requirements to apply for the Philippines eVisa

The Philippines eVisa was introduced as a pilot scheme for Chinese nationals on 24 August 2023.
More information will be released soon once the eVisa is available for more countries.

Required documents

Among the necessary documents that must be submitted to apply for the Philippines visa online are:

  • a machine-readable passport/ e-Passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of planned departure from the Philippines
  • applicant’s face photograph

Important notes:

  • Depending on the traveler’s nationality, the list of necessary documents may differ.
  • The Philippines eVisa is in the testing phase, and its requirements may change at any time.
  • So far, an applicant has to submit original and signed documents (either via courier or in person).
  • It may be necessary to have a visa interview if the visa officer has some doubts regarding your visa application.

Other requirements

In order to apply for a visa to the Philippines online, make sure to have access to the following:

  • working electronic device - to submit your online application
  • stable Internet connection - to avoid the need to repeat the process due to some technical issues
  • valid means of online payment - to cover the visa processing fees
  • active email address - to receive the visa decision together with the approved visa copy

Once you receive your visa approval, you should remember to print it out and take its physical copy with you to enter the Philippines.
